A beautiful face of makeup is only as good as its staying power. Whether you’re heading to a wedding, a shoot or a long day at work, here are the steps I use to keep makeup looking fresh for hours.
Start with skin
Longevity begins before any product goes on. Cleanse, hydrate and let your moisturiser absorb fully. Skin that is balanced (not too dry, not too oily) holds makeup far better.
Prime with intention
Choose a primer for your skin’s needs, a gripping primer for oily skin, a hydrating one for dry. A little goes a long way.
Set in the right places
You don’t need to powder everything. Focus on the T-zone and anywhere you crease, and leave the high points of the cheeks dewy for a natural finish.
